Former Gov Booth Gardner & the Centennial Accord

Knute Berger at Seattle’s Crosscut Blog writes about former Washington Governor Booth Gardner here.  We remember that it he signed the first historic Centennial Accord with Washington’s Indian tribes in 1989.  The Centennial Accord recognized the sovereignty of Indian tribes and the government-to-government relationship.  An outline of the 2010 Centennial Accord summit which was held June 8, 2010 at Muckleshoot can be found here.
